Grief is a reflection of love
Grief exists because we are capable of deep love and meaningful connection. Whether you are mourning the death of a loved one, the end of an important relationship, a change in your health, or the loss of the life you imagined, grief is a deeply human response to losing someone or something that mattered.
Healing doesn’t mean forgetting or “getting over” the person or life you lost. It means learning how to carry love and loss together while continuing to live a meaningful life. There is no right way to grieve and no timeline for healing.

Understanding Grief
Modern grief research recognizes that healing is not about letting go of someone you love—it’s about learning to process and to integrate the loss into your life while maintaining a meaningful connection with what mattered.
Grief affects the whole person, influencing the brain, nervous system, body, emotions, relationships, and sense of your self. Depending on the circumstances of the loss, grief may also involve trauma, unresolved emotions, or parts of ourselves that feel overwhelmed, protective, or stuck.
